Roller coaster Project
This was a project that we did where we built roller coasters themed off of the book to kill a mocking bird. Our roller coaster was based off the character Tom Robinson and we had different elements from the story such as the courthouse and the jail. My group members were Faris Livingstone and John Contreras. I was the architect, John was the writer, and Faris was the designer. Our group worked very efficiently and we got a lot of work done because we evenly spread it out. Faris and I did most of the building and John did most of the writing such as the brochure. We all helped each other out and improved the work we did to make it the best it can be. Our group built a functional roller coaster for a marble with a setting and literary devices from To Kill a Mockingbird. I learned a lot in physics about energy and what you can do to find velocity, displacement, and other physics terms. What really went well was the effort we put into the coaster to get it to work. The funnel on our roller coster was not working for a while so we did anything we could to get more speed off of the funnel so it could make the rest of the coaster. I was happy with the final product and all of the hard work payed off. Our group worked well together concerning team work and we used all of us to get things done quicker. When building the coaster and connecting the track we all put effort into it and we got it done really quickly. I would have given just one more week to work on the coaster because some people didn't get to finish the coaster the way they wanted. I wanted to add light to my coaster but I didn't have time which i would have liked to do.
