REinvention project
1. Provide a picture of the actual final product in this project.
2. Who was in your group? What was it like working with the group?
My group members were Natalie Boyle, Bonnie May, And Doug Hunter. Natalie was my partner so I worked mostly with her and enjoyed that. She was a very efficient worker and always did anything to help the group out. We all worked together very well and we communicated fairly well. We were all aware of what our task was and we worked on that until it was finished.
3. What did you make in this project? What are a few things you learned?
We created a lot of things in this project but there are a few main things that I worked on. In the beginning of the project we made sketches for each of our characters we were assigned. We also made set sketches, weapon models, transformations, a set for the play, costumes, and a physics essay. I learned a lot of information relating to our conflict that I did not know before. For example I did not know that our conflict has been going on since biblical times. I learned a lot about the hell-fire missile because that is the weapon that I chose to write my essay on. I thought that the laser seeking technology on the missile was really cool because its self guided which makes it a lot more effective and easy to use.
4. What went well in this project?
The final product came out great and our booth looked really good. All of the hard work and cooperation put into the product payed off really well because on exhibition night everyone enjoyed our booth. We all did a great job explaining everything to the guests and they all understood everything we did. I believe that our set was the best piece of work we created because the transformation worked very smoothly and we put a great amount of detail into the set.
5. What struggles did you have and how did you overcome them?
One thing that I should have worked harder on was the costume sketches. I should have taken more time on each sketch and made them look nicer because we had to redo them before exhibition night. One thing that I could have done was use a glue stick instead of Elmer's glue because it looked messy and unprofessional. After this I went back and made everything look better and presentable for people to see on exhibition night
6. What things did you do well concerning work ethic and what could you improve on?
I feel like I could have prioritized better and worked on the most important things first. I would often catch myself working on something that wasn't helping the group and sometimes this but us behind because something was unfinished. Then I would have to go back and work on it last minute which was stressful.
7. How would you change this project?
If I would be able to change this project I would allow each group to choose their own conflict to research. Then there would be a large variety of conflicts from the past and present. I would have given each group more time to make their food because it would have been interesting to see all the prepared food.
