2. Who did you get the most help from? How did you use feedback?
I got a ton of help from Mr.Schwartz because he always explained things to me thoroughly to me when I was frustrated. When building my circuit he showed me things that were wrong so I could fix them. My class mates also helped me out very much because I used their butterflies to improve my own. The kids that were ahead were a big help because they knew how to do it and the steps to take.
3. What did you make in this project? What are a few things you learned?
In physics I created my butterfly which I am very proud of. For the butterfly I created a mechanical system to move my wings and a electric circuit to make my led's light up. I learned a lot about making circuits and mechanical systems which I find very interesting. I also learned about patience and that giving up is not the right option.
4. What went well in this project?
I worked extremely hard over the course of the physics part and came out with a great final product. My knowledge about circuits and mechanical systems grew so much during the project and was proud of that.
5. What struggles did you have and how did you overcome them?
I had trouble with my mechanical and getting it to work out but then after seeing a technique one of my classmates did I realized my design could be much more simple. So I did that and it worked. Once that was finished I could finish my electrical and ascetics.
6. What things did you do well concerning work ethic and what could you improve on?
I never gave up on my butterfly even though at times I became very frustrated. I knew that I could do it and that kept me going all the way to the very end. The one thing I could have improved on was planning out better because I wasn't thinking about what I was going to do next.
7. How would you change this project?
I enjoyed making a butterfly but I would have let the students create any animal they want. I think it would have been really cool to see that each student created a different animal such as a fish or a bird. There would be more diversity.
